Monday, May 13, 2013 - The Berwick Apple Capital Society will hold a regular meeting at 7:00 pm in the Family Room at the Berwick School. Everyone is welcome to attend.
May 22 2013 - The Berwick Apple Capital Museum Society is pleased to announce that Dr. Julian Gwyn will be the guest speaker for the 2013 annual general meeting. Emeritus Professor of the University of Ottawa where he taught for 35 years, the award-winning author of books and articles on topics that range from the history of the British Isles, the colonial era of American history, to pre-confederation Nova Scotia, Julian Gwyn is an honorary life member of the Canadian Historical Association. Dr. Gwyn's presentation will focus on the history of the Nova Scotia Fruit Growers' Association, a fascinating history that began 150 years ago. From humble beginnings, the apple industry played a major role in the economy and culture of communities throughout the Annapolis Valley, Berwick included. This presentation is free for everyone to attend and there will be food and beverages at the end of the evening. Come and enjoy an evening of interesting history at the Berwick School cafeteria room on Wednesday, May 22 at 7:00 pm.
July 6th, 2001 - Berwick mail bears important message. Letters leaving Berwick will carry a special message after this week. A new cancellation stamp describing Berwick as the "Apple Capital of Nova Scotia" will mark letters moving through the Berwick Post Office for destinations around the world.
May 12th, 2001 - BERWICK -- A few laughs, a few songs, a good meal and fun company is in store for those who attend the May 12 dinner theatre, presented by the Apple Capital Museum Society. This event was a total success
