Summer 2010

  • The Apple Capital Museum Society is having their annual Beef BBQ on Wednesday September 15, 2010.  The BBQ is being held at the Berwick and District Lions Club on Brown Street and will be held from 4:30 pm - 6 pm.

    Tickets are on sale now at the Apple Capital Museum (Commercial st. Berwick) and are $10.00 each

  • 2010 - Wednesday June 23rd - 7 pm. Our first speaker of the season will be Allison Magee.  Allison is going to share some of his knowledge on a local garden favorite, ROSES!  Allison grows and tends to various varieties of rose, old and new alike. Come out for a sweet smelling evening!
  • Wednesday July 28th - We are pleased to have Lester Settle of the Berwick United Church Camp bring some memories and stories of the local church campground to the Apple Capital Museum.  The United Church Camp has been an important part of Berwick for over 100 years.  The first church camp meeting took place on Friday July 5, 1872 and ended the following Thursday.  Come out for an evening full of pictures, stories, and history!  The talk begins at 7pm on Wednesday July 28th at the Apple Capital Museum, and is open to everyone.  Refreshments to follow presentation.
  • Our Weekly BBQ's will start on the first Friday of July (July 2nd) Rain or Shine! The BBQ's will run from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm As usual Pop and Hot Dogs will both be sold for 1$ each with all proceeds going to the Apple Capital Museum Society.
  • Wednesday August 18th at 7pm. we are going to be holding a community wide show and tell at the museum! Search your old barns, take a peek in your attic and bring out some unique antiques.  If you have an item and are unsure of what it is, bring it in, you may go home with some neat findings!

Weekly BBQs! They happen every Friday Rain or Shine and the proceeds go to the Museum society!

July 6th, 2001 - Berwick mail bears important message. Letters leaving Berwick will carry a special message after this week. A new cancellation stamp describing Berwick as the "Apple Capital of Nova Scotia" will mark letters moving through the Berwick Post Office for destinations around the world.

May 12th, 2001 - BERWICK -- A few laughs, a few songs, a good meal and fun company is in store for those who attend the May 12 dinner theatre, presented by the Apple Capital Museum Society. This event was a total success
